HDB Void Decks

Came across news on artwork display at Jurong West HDB void deck.  I think it’s a great idea, in fact more activities should be conducted, instead of leaving them empty.

We can have art classes weekly in the day for just two hours. Open space and natural lighting. Boxing practise, of course with proper hording and when children are at school. Cooking classes for housewives and their maids; fishing classes; all sorts of classes are possible.

Local chess competitions; Junk yard sales, town councils can make it easier for residents to apply for a space, less rules and at affordable price.

With a little creativity using mobile screens, stackable furniture, solar powered lighting and fans, the area can be designed to be condusive to any activities that the residents are in.  The young and seniors can share ideas and perhaps life experiences can be past on.
